The spirit of sportsmanship soared high as Squadron Leader Praveen Kumar, Officiating Principal and Administrative Officer, inaugurated the much-awaited Annual Athletic Meet 2025 at Maj Somnath Sharma PVC Mini Stadium on 08 Oct 2025.
The grand opening featured an impressive March Past by cadet houses, reflecting their precision, discipline, and unity. The Oath of Sportsmanship, led by the School Sports Captain, reaffirmed every cadet’s pledge to uphold fairness and integrity on the field.
In his address, the Chief Guest lauded the cadets’ enthusiasm and underlined the role of sports in nurturing teamwork, perseverance, and leadership — essential virtues for the Armed Forces.
The ceremony also included a symbolic Torch Relay, igniting the flame of sportsmanship across the stadium. Day one witnessed thrilling track and field events like 400m hurdles, 800m, 3000m, 5000m, 4x400m relay, long jump, high jump, and shot put, setting a spirited tone for the competitions ahead.

49th Annual Athletic Meet Concludes at Sainik School Nagrota!
Sainik School Nagrota concluded its 49th Annual Athletic Meet with a grand Closing Ceremony at Maj Somnath Sharma PVC Mini Stadium. The event was graced by Colonel Kuldeep Kachru as the Chief Guest, who felicitated the winners and applauded the cadets for their discipline, sportsmanship, and competitive spirit.
💪 Over the past few days, cadets displayed remarkable stamina, skill, and determination in a variety of track and field events, reflecting the school’s commitment to building fitness, leadership, and teamwork.
