Displaying its commitment to nurturing young leaders, Chinar Primary School, the Junior Wing of Sainik School Nagrota organized Investiture Ceremony on 16 Sept 23. Mrs Punita Jain, Zonal President, White Knight AWWA presided over the occasion as the Chief Guest. The annual event of appointing members of the Student Council was organized at the School Auditorium.
The program began with a colourful and enthralling welcome song and a welcome dance by the tiny tots followed by a skit on Pariyavaran with a strong message to protect the environment. Mrs Parveenakhtar A Desai, Headmistress delivered the opening address highlighting the academic and other pursuits and the latest initiatives undertaken by the school. As the formal Investiture Ceremony commenced, the Chief Guest presented Sash and tabs to the newly appointed members of the Student Council.

Unveiling the School Magazine “The Blossoms” which carries the theme “Panch Thatva – the five elements”, the Chief Guest congratulated the student appointments and expressed her deep appreciation for the initiative undertaken by Chinar Primary School to imbibe leadership qualities in children at the very prime of their life. She also expressed hope that most of them will endeavor to get admission in Sainik School Nagrota to prepare themselves for a career in the Armed Forces as officers.
Further, Capt (IN) AK Desai, Chairman CPS felicitated the special invitees Mr Kapil Singh Manhas, Inspector, J&K Police and Mr Rahul Singh Manhas, Radio Jockey who are the proud alumni of the Chinar Primary School. The program concluded with Vote of thanks proposed by Mrs Renu.
