DRILLED TO EXCELLENCE — SAINIK SCHOOL NAGROTA LEADS FROM THE FRONT AT REPUBLIC DAY 2026.

Sainik School Nagrota won the First Prize for Best Band Contingent and Best Marching Contingent at the Republic Day Celebrations 2026, held at MA Stadium, Jammu. The awards were conferred during the Beating Retreat Ceremony on 29 January 2026, graced by the Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor Shri Manoj Sinha as the Chief Guest.
The trophies were received by Band Captain Cadet Uday and Cadet Adhvik Raina, Commander of the Marching Troop, in the presence of the Principal, Capt (IN) Shibu Devasia.
The Band Contingent was trained under Band Master Shri Showkat Ahmed Khan, while the Marching Contingent was trained by Subedar Sukhdev Singh and Havaldar Sandeep Singh, under the supervision of Sqn Ldr Poonam Yadav, OC NCC JD (I) Coy.
This achievement reflects the institution’s continued emphasis on discipline, leadership, and ceremonial excellence, in line with the ethos of the Sainik School system.
