Sainik School Nagrota organised an insightful and interactive Guest Lecture on POCSO, Child Safety and Gender Sensitivity for its cadets at the Zorawar Auditorium.
The session was conducted by Mrs Esther William, renowned POCSO & Child Safety Activist, trained POCSO Trainer and former Principal of Alexander Memorial School, Jammu.
Mrs William sensitised cadets about child protection under the POCSO Act, personal safety, recognising unsafe situations, personal boundaries and the importance of speaking up and seeking timely help. The session also highlighted equality, dignity, empathy and mutual respect.
Through interactive discussions, practical examples and role-play activities, cadets actively participated and gained a better understanding of handling real-life situations related to safety and gender-sensitive behaviour.
Capt (IN) Shibu Devasia, Principal, Sainik School Nagrota, thanked Mrs William for sharing her valuable knowledge and experience and appreciated her engaging approach.
The initiative reaffirmed the School’s commitment to the safety, dignity, well-being and holistic development of its cadets.
