Sainik School Nagrota brings laurels to the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir by delivering a stellar performance at the prestigious IPSC Basketball Championship 2026
Sainik School Nagrota U-17 Boys Team brought Laurels to the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir by emerging as Runners up at the prestigious IPSC Basketball Championship 2026 Which was held at Pestle Weed School Dehradun held from 08 May to 10 May 2026.
A total of 21 reputed teams from across the country participated in the championship, making the competition highly competitive and challenging.
Displaying exceptional teamwork, discipline, sportsmanship and fighting spirit, the cadets of Sainik School Nagrota secured the Overall Second Position and clinched the Runners up Trophy in the tournament.
The team registered impressive victories against several prominent schools during the championship:
- Sainik School Nagrota vs Sainik School Kunjpura –Score 30-15
- Sainik School Nagrota vs Welham Boys School – Score 29-11
- Sainik School Nagrota vs Birla Public School – Score 43-19
- Sainik School Nagrota vs Motilal Nehru Sports School Rai - Score – 47-44
The team also played commendably against strong opponents Mann School and host school Pestle Weed School.
The remarkable achievement reflects the high standards of sports training, determination and all-round development being imparted at Sainik School Nagrota. The Principal, staff and cadets congratulated the basketball team for their outstanding accomplishment and for bringing pride to the institution.
