Sainik School Nagrota Commemorates Navy Day 2025 with a Week of Pride & Patriotism.

Sainik School Nagrota celebrated Navy Day 2025 through a vibrant week-long series of activities honouring the courage, professionalism, and maritime legacy of the Indian Navy.
The celebration began with an enthusiastic Cycling Trek to Katal Batal on 30 November, led by the Principal, officers, staff and our spirited Girl Cadets. The week also featured an Inter-House Naval Quiz, a Special Assembly on India’s maritime heritage, and an exciting Basketball Match themed on Operation Trident, commemorating the historic 1971 naval strike.
On 04 December, the school observed Navy Day with a solemn Wreath Laying Ceremony at Shourya Smarak, paying homage to the nation's fallen naval heroes. Girl Cadets showcased an impressive Hornpipe Dance, followed by a captivating Band Display demonstrating precision and discipline.
As part of a major green initiative, the school also conducted a Swastik Model Plantation Drive, planting 5000 saplings across the campus to promote environmental responsibility and ecological balance.
Addressing the cadets, Captain (IN) Shibu Devasia, Principal, encouraged them to explore careers in the Indian Navy and highlighted the Navy’s instrumental role in safeguarding the nation’s maritime interests.
A Bada Khana at the Cadets’ Mess and a traditional Cake Cutting Ceremony brought the celebrations to a memorable close.
The week-long observance reflected the school’s strong commitment to discipline, service, patriotism and environmental stewardship, while paying tribute to the legacy of the Indian Navy.
