🏀 Bikers' Rally Honours the Legacy of Late Flt Lt Advitiya Bal on Kargil Vijay Diwas🏀

On the occasion of Kargil Vijay Diwas, a solemn tribute was paid to the brave heroes of Operation Vijay (Kargil War) whose unparalleled courage and sacrifice ensured India's victory in 1999. The day also marked the observance of the 4th Death Anniversary of Late Flt Lt Advitiya Bal, an illustrious alumnus of Sainik School Nagrota, who laid down his life in the line of duty while serving the nation.

A Bikers' Rally, comprising enthusiastic bikers from R.S. Pura and Ex-students of Sainik School Nagrota, commenced from Balidan Stambh, Jammu, paying homage to the heroes of the Kargil War, and culminated at Sainik School Nagrota, the alma mater of Late Flt Lt Advitiya Bal. The rally served as a heartfelt tribute to the indomitable spirit of India's brave soldiers and inspired the younger generation to uphold the ideals of patriotism, courage, and selfless service.

A solemn wreath-laying ceremony was held at the school in memory of Late Flt Lt Advitiya Bal. Floral tributes were paid by Principal, Sainik School Nagrota, Capt (IN) Shibu Devasia, Shri Swaran Bal, father of Late Flt Lt Advitiya Bal, and officers of the school.

Late Flt Lt Advitiya Bal joined Sainik School Nagrota in 2007 and completed his Class XII in 2014 before joining the National Defence Academy. Commissioned into the Indian Air Force in 2018, he fulfilled his lifelong dream of becoming a fighter pilot. On 28 July 2022, during a training sortie in a MiG-21 trainer aircraft, he made the supreme sacrifice while serving the nation, leaving behind a legacy that continues to inspire generations of young cadets.

As the nation remembers the heroes of Kargil Vijay Diwas and honours the sacrifice of Late Flt Lt Advitiya Bal, Sainik School Nagrota reaffirms its commitment to nurturing young leaders who embody the timeless ideals of Duty, Honour, and Country.
